VIEW FROM THE CUBIKILL

History is written by the winners, and job descriptions are written by the bosses.

So what's it really like to work at South Florida's media outl
ets? Read what their employees allege – anonymously,
of course.

Needless to say, the usual cliches apply: Take these comment
s with a grain of salt, since some folks may have an ax to grind.

You can post comments any time.
If you want to add a category, point out a mistake, ask a question, or – more likely, given this crowd – simply complain, post here or email.

This site really is for losers. Anyone who posts comments anonymously is simply afraid and insecure to make themselves known and stand behind their opinions. If you have an issue, state your name and defend your position. Don't be afraid to have to engage in an intellectual discussion that may actually lead to a productive solution.

This site is a blessing! It is also Karma come around for employers that refuse to see the light of decency. Greed is a major factor in South Florida, and unfortunately, many talented folks here are in the employ of hacks... greedy hacks. Not all media employers here are beastly... but most are. Cutthroat tactics win.

To those that have been abused by these bloated ad agency and media outlets, take heart, their days are numbered. Find a good in-house job. The big boys are sinking because their clients are smartening up enough to put in their own marketing departments.

Best of luck to my fellow writers, creatives, and designers... avoid the companies herein like the plague.
